Delete your account
You can delete your Ask Aura account and your personal data at any time, without asking anyone. This page explains exactly what happens.
The quickest way
From inside the app
Open the Ask Aura app
Sign in with the account you want to delete.
Go to Profile
The last tab, at the bottom of the screen.
Tap “Delete my account”
You are asked to confirm once, because it cannot be undone.
That is it
Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out. No email, no waiting on us to action it.
Specifically
What is deleted, and what we have to keep
Deleted immediately
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Your date, time and place of birth
- Your chat messages with Gaurav Singhal
- Your saved profile and preferences
- Your notification tokens, so no further push can reach you
- Any photographs you uploaded
- Your course progress and saved positions
Kept, and why
- Payment and invoice records — Indian tax law requires these to be retained for eight years. They are held against the booking reference, not against you: your name and contact details are removed from them.
- Reviews you published — these stay visible but become anonymous. Ask us and we will remove them entirely.
- Anonymous usage counts — totals like “47 sessions this month”, which contain nothing that identifies you.
Nothing retained can be used to contact you or to rebuild your profile.
Cannot get into the app?
If you have lost access to your phone or your sign-in, ask here and we will delete the account for you. We reply within 7 days and delete within 30 days of confirming it is yours.
